I'm not prone to write reviews anymore, as I want people to give things an unbiased approach (particularly without the taint of my opinion diluting theirs in our discussion).  However, every so often there comes something so grand, so enjoyable, so beautiful that I simply cannot help but write about it and encourage others to experience it as well.

Enter Avatar.  Fantastic.  Gorgeous.  Beautiful.  Moving.  I can't conjure up enough words to praise this film.  I would have been pleased to sit and watch the landscape.  It was utterly breathtaking.

Then there were the action scenes.  Fantastic.  Thrilling.  Entertaining.

And while the romance between the two main characters felt cliche at times, there was a certain sense of urgency and authenticity to their relationship that I enjoyed.

Music filled my ears and my mind at just the right times with just the right sounds.  Mesmerizing.

But, without a doubt, the part that I enjoyed the most was that we were drawn into this world.  We were given a chance to explore the world.  To see it for the beauty that it contained.  To recognize that too often we gloss over things and miss the hidden beauty.  And oh how beautiful it was.

This could very well be the little boy inside of me squealing with glee over this movie.  But I'll let him squeal away.  This movie was breathtaking and beautiful in every way.

I give this a 10/10.
